Common jobs, step by step
Launch a new product or service
Build up to a launch date: teasers, launch day, and the push after.
Use this when the client has something new: a product, a menu, a service, a location.
Before you start
- The client's Client Guide is approved.
- The new thing is in Products & services, marked Coming soon with its launch date. (Edit it and set Status and Date.)
Ask for the campaign
- Open the client, then press New campaign (top right).
- What's this campaign for? Say it plainly: "Launch our spring menu on 3 March. Build excitement in the two weeks before, big on launch day, then remind people for a week after."
- What's it promoting? Tick the new product.
- What's the objective? Choose A launch, then set the Launch date. Leave Start promoting blank for two weeks before.
- How will you know it worked? For example "300 orders of the spring menu in March".
- Who's it for? Tick the audiences that matter.
- Where should it run? Social posts are on already. Add Paid social ads, Email and Print if you want them.
- If you ticked paid social, type the client's ad budget (what they'll spend with Meta, not credits).
- Choose how involved you want to be (see How involved do you want to be?).
- Press Write the brief. It takes a few minutes.
Check the brief
The brief opens with the plan: the big idea, what we tell each audience, the channels, how the ad budget splits, how success is measured and the timeline. Below it are the posts and the price.
- Happy? Press Accept brief.
- Not quite? Tick a quick change (like Make it cheaper) or type what you want, then Request changes.
- Want the client to approve it? See Get the client to sign off.
Good to know: "Coming soon" products are teased before the launch date and never called available until then.
While it's made
You'll be asked to look at the work at the points you chose. Approve it, or tell us what to change in plain words.
When it's done
Open the campaign's Assets tab: every post, every video, the ads, the email and the print files. Press Download everything. Then schedule the posts and load the ads.
