Common jobs, step by step
Set up a new client, start to finish
From nothing to ready-for-campaigns in about half an hour of your time.
Do this once per client. The better the set-up, the better every campaign after it.
1. Add the client (1 minute)
- In the left-hand menu, click Clients.
- In the empty card, type the client's name and press Add client.
- You're now on their page.
2. Give us what you know (10 minutes)
- Open the Files tab.
- Drag in anything useful: their brand guidelines, an "about us", menus or price lists, past campaign images, reviews, product photos. PDFs, Word documents, images and text all work.
- No documents? Press Paste text and write a few paragraphs: who they are, where they are, what they sell, who their customers are, how they like to sound, and anything that must never be said.
- Give each file a type if we guessed wrong (for example Past campaign, Product photo or Review or testimonial). It changes how the team uses it.
Tip: Past campaigns are gold. Upload a few images of what's worked before, and set their type to Past campaign.
3. Their products and services (5 minutes)
- Open the Products & services tab.
- Type their website address and press Save, then Read their website. In about two minutes we list what they sell, with prices and photos.
- Check each one. Press Confirm on the right ones, Edit to fix anything, and the bin to remove what's wrong. Or press Confirm all.
- Missing something? Add a product or service at the bottom.
4. Write the Client Guide (10 minutes to start, then it works on its own)
- Open the Client Guide tab and press Create guide. It takes about 10 minutes; you can leave the page.
- When it's ready you'll see questions. Tap an answer for each, or type your own. Most take one tap.
- Press Update guide to fold your answers in.
- When there are no questions left that block approval, press Approve guide.
Good to know: Campaigns only ever say what an approved Client Guide allows. That's what keeps everything accurate.
5. Their brand (5 minutes)
- Open the Brand tab.
- Upload their logo: a white version for dark images and a dark version for light ones (transparent PNGs).
- Under Look and voice, add their colours. Mark one as Accent and one as Dark. Add their fonts if they use Google Fonts.
- Write how they sound (Voice) and how their pictures should look (Image style).
- Pick the Voiceover voice and press Hear it to check it.
- Press Save brand.
6. Who they're for (2 minutes)
- Open the Audiences tab and press Suggest from the guide.
- Keep the good ones, edit or remove the rest, and add their main competitors.
That's it. Now run a campaign.
